Weather

Located on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, the weather is sensational most of the year round. Very few days are lost due to inclement weather and if it does come, the course drains very well.

Player Spotlight

Junior - Jackson Dick

Since going to the USA for the world Junior at River Walk Golf Club where he finished a creditable 62nd in the 14 and under division Jackson has been improving each time he has competed.

Jackson shot a 73 at Nudgee in the Jack Downes classic in early October to win his age division and was runner up in the gross overall. That qualified him for the final of the Greg Norman Junior to be held at Tweed Heads in December where he will try to better his third place finish in the 14 and under division (which he is still in) from 2008.

He is currently in the  Queensland development squad. He competed in the Gary Player Classic held at Pacific Golf Club in Brisbane over four days and came from 45th after day one to finish 7th in the 15 and under division and was awarded with Most Improved overall and goes on the Trophy with the inaugural winner, one G Norman. He shot scores of  85, 76, 78, 75 in fairly testing conditions.

He is going to Melbourne this weekend after being invited to the Australian final of the Aaron Baddley junior at the Heritage Golf Club in the Yarra Valley and is one of only a few invitees with pre-qualifying a hard task with only two spots available in each State qualifying round. He has been practising hard so is hoping for a good result down there in the two day tournament.
