Fri 09 Jul 2010 - Corrine Swan selected in QLD State Team

Congratulations to Corrine Swan our current Ladies Club Champion who has just been selected to represent Queensland in the Womens State Team.

Burleigh Golf Club (and in particular the Ladies) would like to wish Corrine every success in the upcoming event in September.

Fri 09 Jul 2010 - Kade McBride Wins the 2010 Burleigh Junior Classic

Congratulations to Kade McBride on winning the 2010 Burleigh Junior Classic last Sunday and with a Gross Score of 72 and winning by 2 shots from Surfers Paradise's Simon Viitakangas, Kade has once again shown his competitive golfing ability.

Kade has also been selected as the #1 Gold Coast District Golf Association junior player to compete against the Brisbane District team in the annual district competition.

All in all a fantastic effort Kade. Well done !!

 

Fri 02 Jul 2010 - New Practice Facility Rules

 

BURLEIGH  GOLF  CLUB  PRACTICE  FACILITIES

 

GENERAL  RULES

1.      Practice facility preference is given to members participating in competition of the day and the golf professional giving golf lessons.

2.      Practice is only permitted within the roped area and hitting towards protective fence. Members may use their own identifiable golf balls.

3.      Clubs may be used as follows;

a.      Hybrid and above only allowed for men

b.      5 wood and above only allowed for ladies.

4.      Those excluded clubs may be used under the visual guidance of the golf professional

5.      In addition to the above, no clubs to be used that may result in balls clearing the protective fence. 

6.      All members must abide by the time clock. Balls may be collected when in the RED zone if more than one person is using the range.

7.      During “PRIME  TIME” being Wednesday to Sunday between 10.30am – 1.00pm members must NOT collect their golf balls.

8.      Hitting golf balls in the practice nets whilst 10th tee is occupied is not allowed.

 

PUTTING GREEN

  1. Limited to 4 balls.
  2. Training aids and drill equipment are allowed provided they are not left unattended and do not cause undue wear.

 

CHIPPING GREEN

1.      Limited to 4 balls as pre-round warm-up only, (not practice) and within 5 metres.

 

PITCHING GREEN & BUNKER

1.      Practice only between protective fence and green. Bunker to be raked on completion of practice.

 

Members are required to repair & sand fill all divots. Misuse of these facilities will

invoke limited access.
